This is a fantastic tool, with an enormous range of classical album artwork as well as popular. Although I have not been able to fine everything, it is fun to use. The option of going to Amazon is a nice alternative for those long-ago, deleted classical albums. Congratulations.

Best itunes ablum art grabber there is, hands down. Works great. I am on Leopard.
My only wish is that it applied missing artwork automatically, having to do it manually is a little bit of a pain, but still the best free option out there. XOXOXOXO

This widget works really well. It is correct about 75% of the time. If you are looking for a single artists album artwork it is fantastic.

The only hang up is a compilation disk. The widget needs a little work in that department. Pretty much all compilation disks I have I needed to add the artwork manually. Not really a big deal, but that is one of the only places that it needs improvement on. It seems to look by artist on a compilation instead of album only. It would be nice to select an option for compilation or something like that.

Overall a great tool to have it has really helped me fill in the gaps that the itunes store couldn't find. Keep up the great work.

Best. Widget. Ever. Fantastic work! So useful (and no need for an iTunes store account - great). I'm using it with OS X 10.5.1 and iTunes 7.5(19). My collection suddenly looks a whole lot more interesting. Found it at the Apple site in the top 50 widgets (version 2.12, just FYI).

Great widget!
Just had to learn, how to use it: play a song, and then the widget tries to get the cover. Is there a way to get it for non-playing songs?
Strange: the question for updating a huge number of songs (190, 242,..), while there are only a few (16, 18,..)

The show album tracks feature doesn't appear to be working. I'm using 10.4.10. Other than that, works fine. Only other feature that would be a great addition would be a choice between the various pics that may be available on amazon, similar to Amazon Album Art widget.

I really love this plug, it's perfect for a music freak like me.
But I think it should be possible to remove all the fuzz so you only can see the cover (e.g. smaller or no border, no "stars" etc)

I'm not having very good luck with this widget. I have power mac g4, OSX 10.4.10, Itunes 7.3(54). The widget does not find the right album art. It seems to search for the artist and not the album, and then returns the first album by that artist. I'd love it if it worked for me.

Nice widget! I've used Yahoo! Widgets for years, but would like to switch to Dashboard, and this is the closest I've found to replace iTunes Companion.

One complaint/question - the artwork is a little "fuzzy". What are you using to scale the artwork? It looks sharper in other widgets. They may be a bit bigger but that shouldn't account for this amount of fuzziness.

On a related note, could you provide an option to display the artwork, etc., BIGGER? I like to look at my artwork, but between the size and fuzziness, it's all I can do to get the gist of artwork.

Other than that, I like the features very much! :-)

Hello. Great widget, thanks!

One thing that bothers me a bit: it doesn't work with tracks being played from iPod. Another widget that i like, Harmonic by mindquirck software that gets lyrics, does update the songs straight to iPod -- just an example, if helps sorting the reason.

hope in the future Album Art does as well!

greetings,
Pablo

I seem to recall that in a previous version, you could choose among multiple images if there was more than 1 version of the cover art found, but I can't seem to find that in the latest version. (I have a couple of soundtrack albums w/various artists and it only finds artwork for the individual artists, or other albums with the same song).

Thanks for making this, BTW! :)

the widget actually claims "iTunes Not Playing". So no artwork showing up at all.

The newest version of EyeTunes now works for me, I must have checked out from svn just a few hours before you guys fixed this -- thanks for providing the framework anyway!!

@LATB: Thanks for the information. EyeTunes bug is fixed thanks to Andy Kim from Potion Factory. However, I can't reproduce the failure of the widget. Could I ask what version of the widget you are using and also how exactly is it not working? That would be very helpful.

For instance, is the widget not displaying the album art even though there is art in iTunes?

Hi -- first of all, thanks for making this available to us!!!

I can confirm that the Widget does not work with iTunes 7.3, probably because the EyeTunes framework seems to not work with iTunes 7.3 -- see printout from the DebugController test application:

@Mike: I don't know if it works on iTunes 7.3 yet since I have not upgraded. But if it doesn't, please shoot me an email with an example of a track that doesn't work so I can track it down.

@iTuner: Thanks! It would be nice to know why it didn't work. If you can give me an example and what version you were using via email, I would be happy to take a look at the problem.
