double charging bullshit

i bought these tickets for trains to travel from italy to paris to london thru raileurope on the net. and those bastards double charged by debit card (not credit card). the operator on the phone claimed that i idiotically pressed the button twice. i know for sure i didn't do that, but somehow he insisted it did. well, if i clicked it twice, then how come i didn't get sent 2 orders of the same tickets, eh? i told him that, and he gave me this bullshit about, "yeah, we've all done that." i couldn't be fucked arguing with this peon.

anyway, after 2 phone calls later explaining to him charging me an extra 221 pounds was not funny, i finally got my refund this morning. bastards! not to mention their site is fucked up under mozilla if you try and book, i had to deliberately vnc to a windows machine (btw, new vnc can connect to terminal servers, using some hackery from rdesktop) to try complete the ticket buying.

although, i must admit the guy on the other end, called Rob, was pretty responsible and handled my case pretty well, even sent me a receipt as proof that the money had refunded, arriving the next day immediately. nothing against Rob, just that RailEurope's website really needs a going over with a moron stick.
