i'm having some troubles with using python for simulation, namely i've been using it for some big number crunching and simulation, but the damn thing is so slow! there are some things that python can do, and somethings it can't. simulating clocks is one thing that i don't think it can do very well. i've been trying to simulate a 1ns resolution clock for 1 second, at a considerable interval, and it's taken more than an hour on my 1GHz G4 Powerbook and it still hasn't finished simulating, and thats without any sort of random number generation or complicated algorithms.
i think i'll have to resign to re-writing the damn thing in C++ or C.
